Elna Love

The best $40 I ever spent was on a 1970's Swiss made Elna Super sewing machine. Apparently, word was out that I needed a handy little stitcher, and through the miraculous grapevine of friendship, Shanni's mom got it for me from the Alameda Antique Market. I have never been happier with a piece of equipment... and 40 some odd years old at that! (btw, when I googled images for my Elna machine, I found a blog that taught me something new about my machine... who knew the case could do so much more!)

It seems that while I'm nearing the end of the wedding bell phase in my life I'm also entering into the baby boom era. So many friends and family members are pregnant (including myself), and I've had more opportunities to be creative in my gift giving...

I'm also trying my hand at a few bridal accessories... garters and a ring pillow. Hopefully the Elna can pull through for these elegant projects and beyond! I've been contemplating opening an etsy shop for some time now, so we'll see if life allows... eventually!
